Missouri Proposes re-alignment to 2 prisons

Missouri Dept of Corrections Director Anne Prythe announced that the Missouri Department of Corrections is proposing to close Crossroads Correctional Facility and shift the Staff to Western Missouri Correctional Center (WMCC) in Cameron, MO which is located directly across the property from Crossroads.

The proposal calls for half of WMCC to house Medium Security Offenders and the other half of the facility to be retro-fitted and redesigned to house maximum security offenders.

Crossroads Correctional Facility would then go into Caretaker status.
