Default DWF airport

I am flying from Finland to Texas next week, and have to take a connection flight in Dallas. I have very short time to do this, only 1h and 35 minutes, so I'm wondering will it be enough? Do any of you have insight about coming abroad and how long does it take to go through immigration and customs there? In Chicago it has been taking 45min-2 hours, but DWF is a smaller airport, right? What happens, if I don't get through customs in time? Do I have to pay the next flight on my own or do I get it for free because I didn't make it on time? I guess it depends also about if the flight was late or not?

That's DFW Airport, and no, it is not small. It is a very large international airport.

Getting through customs will vary based on yout time of arrival. If you hit in the busiest time of the day, 90 minutes might be tight.

Make sure you have your connecting flight informatio with you so that you might be able to be moved to the front of the line.

Also, look the airport up on the Internet and familiarize yourself with the various terminals. They are connected by tram (unmanned train, like a subway). It's a fairly efficient layout, but the terminals are very large, and going the wrong direction can cost time in having to turn around and go back the right way.

There are a lot of airport employees there that will help you find your way.

In general, if you miss your flight, they will book you on the next one (seating available). I don't know of any airlines that would charge you for that.

DFW is an international airport but it's not that big. Not like Heathrow or JFK. I have made it through there numerous times with less than ninety minutes transfer time. Most of the staff there tend to be helpful so don't be scared to ask.
