Default It's a sad day at home and in our hearts: How to calculate release date?

We just got a phone today call from County Correctional Facility here in Los Angeles. It was my son letting me know he is going to be taken to Prison tomorrow morning. He was given 3 years for dui, but he had a prior felony dui.
He is going with 282 days credit. I heard he is going to do 33% of his sentence. I hope its true and it it is, can someone please let me know when he'll be out, I just do not what to think or do right now.

Im so sorry. Its so hard.
While I dont know the percentage of how they calculate the terms Im sure someone can come along and give you an idea.
Once he is in a system, you might check the inmate locator. I think that gives you a date. (they didnt have that when my hub was in, so I dont know)
His counselor will also give him an idea

It's so difficult not knowing. I' m doing researches about it, but nothing is clear. I only know is just the beginning of a long waiting, but if someone could give me at least an idea of how long it might be. His case based on the court was classified as a nonviolent crime , it was a dui, but he had a prior felony dui in less then 5 years and to avoid a second strike he admitted this offense therefore he was given 3 years at State, he did 284 days in County so at least he has that to help. I also heard he might do 33% of the sentence , but is difficult to understand how all the numbers work, if someone could please help me understand, thanks.
