Default Paralegal studies

Interestingly, Utah is set to become the second state to allow some paralegals to actually practice law in a limited capacity. Like Washington, appropriately qualified and licensed paralegals will be allowed to help people fill out forms, negotiate settlements, and the like. They will not be allowed to represent a person or client in court (not all clients are people), but they will be able to do some basic things without a lawyer reviewing their work. They will also be able to have a client trust account and will be held to attorney like standards of ethics.

With lots of people choosing paralegal studies while in prison, it would behoove them to keep an eye on the requirements for eventually taking this next step in their ability to practice, especially if law school is not in the cards. You should note that both states require appropriate certification and hours of practice as a paralegal before qualifying, exams, and the like. Think of it sort of like a registered nurse becoming a nurse practitioner - get the right degree and certification and practice as a RN, and you can become a NP.

Default LPP salary

Does the LPP make the same amount of money as an NP can?

Probably not as paralegals do not make as much as RNs.
