There's a list of phone numbers to all of the Visiting Sergeants @ CDCR right HERE on their page.

HDSP seems to be (530) 251-5100 Ė ext. 5712

If you were approved already at a different prison, then you should be fine to visit him in susanville.

My daughters father is in HDSP, we will be having our first visit on Saturday, I’m wondering what it’s like to visit with a toddler? We have a two year old daughter together and I’m sure she is going to get extremely bored and act out. Do they have toys or anything for kids?

Some facilities do. Not sure about hdsp but I think you are allowed to bring in a toy for her.
Ive seen books to read (tho a 2yo may not want to sit still long enough to read one.....lol) but when I was visiting at cci, there was a small area outdoors to play in. (very small but at least it was outside, and I think they had some balls to play with)
Re read the visitors handbook. I believe it lists what you can and cannot bring for a visit with a child.

Thank you so much for your help and response. Iíve been so nervous. This is literally our first visit. Iíve been waiting a year to get approved and really had to fight & advocate for this approval and now I have been having the worst anxiety I couldnít sleep a wink last night and tomorrow is the day! I called the visiting sergeant this morning and he told me they provide toys and a whole play area for kids and she will be able to bring two of her own. He also said pretty soon C-Yard at HDSP will be getting an outdoor patio. Canít wait for that day.

So we had our visit today and it was AMAZING! I had such a good time I missed him so much. My daughter did GREAT. The lines werenít that bad at all. My appointment was at 11, but next weekend I want to go earlier because it was sad leaving. We are planning on getting married lol.
