Thats nonsense. He needs to get that degree. BUT first I would contact your State University and ask them if they even acknowledge the school that he is attending and their particular accreditation. BUT YES. GET THAT EDUCATION. Number one quote "Education is not the learning of facts but the TRAINING of the mind to THINK."And yes, employers look at what a person with a criminal past has done with themself. The more accomplishments, the more rehabilitated and responsible the employer considers the individual.

My guy got a degree plus got his Ph.D. and published the book. If thatís not worth anything what is? I personally think itís really important to educate oneself as much as possible and take advantage of all the educational stuff the prison offers.

I definitely think it is worth pursuing and completing. Being able to list a degree is always helpful even if it is not in the field he chooses after prison. But the primary reason I think so is that itís very hard to accomplish ANYTHING while in prison. It will be a big psychological (no pun intended) boost for to carry him through his time there, keep his mind active, and be able to look back and say that he accomplished completing a degree while incarcerated. Have him go for it!!
