Default Low income housing. We're married, will he be able to live with me?

I'm on low income housing and I'm living in a sub division of low income housing and section 8. No it is not the projects. These are individual home's. We are married! We were married before he went in. Will he be able to live with me is my question?

I'm not sure how that works in your state but I know here in michigan the answer is no. I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question.

You will need to contact your local housing authority and ask. HUD does not directly discriminate based on criminal record, but there are specific charges that do bar them from eligibility (lifetime SO registry, for example). The second part will be contacting your landlord or management company and asking them the same question. Just because HUD may allow him doesn't mean the owner of your residence will.

This is also good advice for those living in privately owned home that have HOAs.

Best of luck.

I just read on line that it goes on a case to case basis except if the parolee is a SO or of if they sold meth near a housing complex. I guess you should call the section 8 office and ask
