Default Need info on Seagoville FPC!

It looks like my brother will end up in Seagoville just south of Dallas, Texas in the FPC. Any info that you all have on this facility, i.e. recreation, food, type of cells, work, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Default Seagoville

I am in Dallas, and my fiancee may be sent there, so I went down there to take a look and asked a few questions. It seemed like an older high school. They have 2 per room, a weight room, a park-like outdoor area, computer lab and library. It did not seem aweful by any means. I would be happy to help you and your family in any way if you come to Dallas to visit. If you have connected with anyone else who has actually been inside Seagoville, please get them in touch with me. The biggest stress for me has been fear of the unknown. It helped to see it.

My son has been at FCI Seagoville since August, 2005. However he is in the detention center (next to the main prison) awaiting sentencing in February. We are hoping he can remain at the Seagoville facility since we live only about 70 miles away.

The prison is a "low" security level facility and there is a camp there also. The campus is very nice and the COs have always been respectful to me and my husband. It is always very clean. I understand group sports activities are allowed in the camp. My son says the food is not too good but he says other inmates say Seagoville food is great compared to other prisons they have been in.

Hope this helps.
