sentencing by judge or jury finding, when it is 30 years minimum?
I need feedback on this, when and inmate gets sentenced to a minimum of 30 years bc of type of fire arm is it the jury decision, to find it guilty of this crime, and not judges sentencing right, and if it is then there is a can of worms to open up, since that has been the practice of many circuit judges. Help anybody got info or feedback. thanks.
My son-in-law filed a federal habeas corpus by pro-se since last year October. The judge ordered the Attorney General to response. Attorney General requested an extension 3 times. On the last request , the Judge stamped " No more extension will be granted", but cuurently he granted application for extension of time to file motion to dismiss. Any one know if this is conflict and unjust? can the judge do that?
Thank you
You have to sign up and get a password. It will take a few days for you go get your password, and then you can search on the site using his name to find his appeal. It is very cheap, only 8 cents a page, and for larger documents, you usually don't have to pay for all the pages.
If you have just one specific question, you might be able to call the clerk's office and ask
