Question Visitation Minimum I Level NC Prisons

I was wondering if someone could tell me about visitation in Minimum I level? What's the difference to Medium custody?
Thank you!

Every prison is different, you can call the prison visitation office and ask specifically what to expect. Tabor Medium is held in a large room, chairs facing each other about six feet apart, no table. You can have contact before and after visit. Tabor Minimum is held in the dining hall, round metal tables, you can sit next to each other. The appt and screening routines are the same. Again, call your specific facility, Tabor was very helpful explaining what to expect.

Thank you!
My boyfriend is still in MEDIUM at Sampson CI and that's exactly how our visits have been so far, chairs facing each other and physical contact basically throughout (we were tame and behaved though). I've heard/read somewhere that once they are in Minimum it's even more lenient? I can ring food and things?
Just wondering..... actually they should be a difference?

It's true you can bring food and visits are very lenient.
