According to Alexa ranking on Big Boards - out of the top 2092 big board sites in the world (I think) PTO is rated 303 for members and 393 for posts. If you look at only vBulletin boards we are ranked 52. Now that is pretty darn impressive if you ask me.

Rank 68 - Traffic

Think of the Big Board chart sort of like Billboard Top 40 (etc) or any other thing that checks & verifies stats, rankings and more.

With regards to Big Boards, you have to have at least 1/2 A Million Post to qualify as a big board / forum. We got in some time ago but in the last 6 months to a year we have really grown traffic wise. Pretty impressive considering the really big sites and are usually dating or trend type sites, etc. Who would have ever thought a prison related site would break well into the TOP 100 of the world's largest forums!?

Don't look at me! It's all of your fault! lol.. So, you ladies (and some "gents") get the credit.

Wow! I hope that doesnt mean our justice system is totally falling apart. LOL! I'd like to think it is because more people have access to the internet!

My only question is how much real constructive change has occurred because of PTO? I see some change at the federal level but not much at the state level, at least that's true here in Colorado. People here are too afraid of retaliation, i.e., having visits and contact terminated as well as having their loved ones targeted within the system because of our participation in PTO and trying to expose what is really wrong with our criminal "justice" system.

I know someone asked what real change PTO has had.. AND I have to say that we are the change. How many of us thought we were alone? How many of us would have already given up? Itn not that we dont actually love our people, Its that when you have people telling you for years that someone is no good, it wears you down..
Were standing up for them inside and out. We arent being pushed around anymore.. Change happens slowly but it happens..
Without PTO I would personally be in a much lower place than I am. I am so thankful to all you wonderful Angels.
This is the ONLY prison messageboard I have found (aside from a few that are no longer in use.)
My man is grateful to you all, because he knows me well enough to know how sad I am without him.. but he is proud of me for standing up and doing what I need to do to be the Pants of the family for this time. I am in charge, and because of the support i received from all of you, I am doing what I have to do, and Ive stopped crying so much, and started taking this time as a blessing. It really is!!! PTO has saved many a prison relationship no doubt.
I am forever grateful to all of you who post, and moderate.
Forever and Ever No matter what Papi!!!
once again in the grind, but we'll get home eventually!!

PTO is not here to bring about the change persay, but more so to empower and enable you to get the support and encouragement you need and information to deal with the DOC, and from that, you are able to tackle change within the system.

Think of how wonderful it is that you can come online and learn of lockdowns, phone outages, visitation rules and procedures. Before PTO there was no information. You were in this alone.

Now you have a place that supports you, understands you, empowers, encourages, and trys to assist you in every way possible.

PTO is what you make of it, you can learn about endless opportunities, laws, etc.

Change first starts with the person, then moves onward from there.

As a registered voter you are able to contact your congressmen, senate, etc. and ask them to vote for specific pieces of legislation.

You wouldn't belive the amount of Senators that told me they never voted for prison bills because noone cared. A phone call carries much more weight than silence. Show support for important bills. Show that your vote counts in putting that person into office.

Make a difference for not only yourself, but also your incarcerated loved ones.

Superb news, most of us knew we are part of the best forum on the web anyway!

Thank you, David for creating this site. It will probably be ranked in the top 10 in the next few years. With all the people going to prison every day and the crazy laws they have, harsh punishment and the way the justice system is so corrupted, I guarantee in a few years, this website will be in the top ten. And all of us with word of mouth, it can only grow, which is sad, but I'm so thankful that it is here and we have some say and a voice. And find information out that is much needed.
