Yes I know but even though he's in receiving he hasn't called or even emailed me back so I'm guessing the whole jail is on lockdown/shakedown because he never goes a whole day without reaching out due to our kids. So I just wonder if they would last as long as gen pop considering they are new comers and thank you about the visitation I think I did that already it was a long form right? So basically it can take anywhere from 3-16 days for these shakedowns/lockdowns to last correct or maybe longer?

From my experience when they are in receiving if the facility is locked down it effects them as well. They could last as long as gen pop or even they might be the first ones that it is lifted for. So I would expect to wait the 2 weeks. Sometimes when their pod is at modified it still can be a while to hear from them. Its a waiting game!

Normally the kiosk and phones are turned off to get then guys to spend the time out grabbing showers or tend to other business. They are usually let out every 3 days for 15 minutes and they are supposed to use that time to shower. My son, would give himself a shower everyday. He used his commissary box as a basin. he stood it in by the sink in his cell and washed his body rang out wash cloth over his head to get water to rinse his body. When he was done he then washed out the box to put his belongings back in. A few of the other guys he knew started doing it too. Summers can be hot at Nottoway. No a/c in cells, only forced room temp air, so those impromptu showers help, esp. on lock downs. If he stays at Nottoway after classification, he'll need a personal fan he can buy off property.

He wont be able to access the Kiosk or Phone unless the status is changed till modified and even then they still wont be able to get to it because most of the time others will beat him to it. Frye is right! Its hot as hell at Nottoway he def will need a fan asap. My LO was just telling me Sunday night how hot it was. (N0 a/c)
