Question Does San Joaquin Hospital provide adequate care for inmates?

Does anyone know if the care at San Joaquin General hospital has been adequate for inmates? My husband may have surgery there. Concerned about the care.😕

I'm sorry I can't comment on the specific hospital and I'm sorry that your loved one is in need of surgery, but I can say that our hospital here treats state inmates as well as immigration detainees. As I'm (unfortunately) a frequent flier, I've had many opportunities to see hospital staff treating inmates. Except for the deputies stationed outside of their room, they are treated no differently than I am. Medical staff see all walks of life in ambulatory settings and it's only the hassle of having extra people around that differentiates an inmate from a free world patient.

I pray that your husband heals quickly and that God keeps you through this time.

I was born in manteca and it is a good hospital now for sure. In the 70s they treated by uncle who was in a coma due to the San Joaquin county jail cos next door. My grandparents sued the county and won. My uncle spent many months at the sanjoaquin c hospital then and they were very good. The jail on the other hand is trash.

Thank you all for your information. I work in the medical field and just needed some reassurance on this particular hospital. Thank you again for caring. This has been a rough couple years for our family,as I am sure it has been for yours.
