Most of our prisons are full because of that very thing.....probation violations. I pray that he is home soon.

Hey everyone.
It's been so long since I last posted anything. Alot has happened. Although right now, Paul, & I aren't together right now, we still keep in contact. His hearing was somewhat ok, but sad in another way.
He didn't get out on his hearing. He was sentenced 6 extra months. Being put back in Valley st. Which got my hopes up. After his family, and mine along with his friend willie kept telling me he was gonna get out on his hearing. But this saturday December 1st. which is now going to be tomorrow. Is his release date. I am very happy. But because of his arrest, and the counts he has my family has somewhat turned against him, & doesn't want me with him anymore. But I am strong. I am however in another relationship, & Paul knows it. But still loves me, & will still be there for me. I am very scared to see him, when he gets out. I don't know how I'm going to react when I see him. Him, & I are still writting. I might get one more letter today from him. Which will tell me if he is going to pay me a visit, or if he is going to be saying his goodbyes, & going his own way. I hope he does visit me. Otherwise I'll be very upset, & possibly breakdown. I guess I'll just have to wait for either his letter later on which will tell me what's going on with him. Or a phone call from him saturday, when he get's out. Well I must go for now. Will write more later, & let you all know what happens later on.

Sherri,

You sound a little confused about this relationship. I'm wondering if it isn't time for you to just take a little time and be by yourself to sort things out. Breaking up is never easy but you can't go on like this hun.

Default Paul's Release date

I am somewhat confused. Him, and I would be together for a yr now. But when his hearing came up, and the counts he has, along with the 6 extra months he had to do. Already being in there for a full month. His total time being in valley st, was 7 months. he is now getting out today. He was only with me for 5 months before he was taken away. so 1 week before he knew he was gonna be taken away, he proposed to me. I th ink he knew it was gonna happen. Other wise he probably would have waited much longer to ask me. I was also pregnant with his child at the time too. I was 2 months along when he asked me, and before he was sent to valley st. Unfortunately, the baby did not survive.I misscarried the child 2 weeks later. during the 3rd week of june, due to the stress, and pain I had gone through loosing Paul. I couldn't handle the pain, and All I did was cry for 1 week straight. I didnt eat for 2 days straight. And whenever some 1 would bring his name up in a convo. I would just break down crying all over again. Now it's not so hard on me anymore. I think it's cause I have accepted the fact that he is going to be there. And there is nothing I can do. So now it is Saturday, Dec. 1st. 2007. Paul's release date. I'm not sure what is going to happen next. I didn't recieve a letter back from him, regarding what is going on with him. But I'm sure he will either have his dad call, or show up. Or Paul might just call me as soon as he gets released, or just show up at my door. I'm really nervous to find out. I guess Im just gonna have to wait, and find out. I'll write more later.

Sherri,

I'm sorry to hear that your child did not survive. That had to be very painful for you. Losing your child and then having Paul locked up had to give you a great sense of loss and helplessness. My heart goes out to you.

There is no rush to become involved again. Try not to worry about it and just live in the moment - in the here and now.

Feel free to PM me your phone number if you feel like talking.

Default Paul's release #2

Well today Paul was released, as far as I know. I have not heard a word from him yet. I guess he didn't have time to get ahold of me today, to let me know he is out. I think he was settling in, and finding a place to live. But part of me has a feeling he's not out. Only because if he was, He would have contacted me by now. A lthough we did have a fight through letters right before he was released. But I don't think, that will stop him from contacting me. I'm sure he will contact me soon enough. I just need to give it some time. I think He needs to get his priorities straight, and get back into his old routine before he was taken away. Then maybe he will either call me, or just show up at my door. I know him, and I need to sit down, and have a long talk. Not just about him, and I. But also about what has been going on while he was away. things I couldn't say in letters to him, since I know Valley st. would cross it out. Or possibly not give him the letter at all. It was so hard for me to keep things from him, that he couldn't know about till he got out. But I'm sure he won't be mad at me for that. Anyway I'm sure I'll here from him by friday the latest. I'll fill you all in when I find out more, or hear from him.

Boy you have a lot on your plate. Do you have close friends or family to talk to??? I think Crone's suggestion to pm her is a good idea. She seems like she might be an objective listener and might help you to sort some stuff out.God bless you and we are here----remember that!!!!!!!

Default Paul's release #3

I know I haven't written in awhile. Been going through alot lately. with moving and all. And getting into another relationship. My new man's name is A.J. He too is going back to Valley st. for a while. He has a court date the 29th of january. Not sure how long he is gonna b gone for. Hopefully if, and when he does go, someone will be able to go there, and fill me in on how he is doing. Paul did however contact me. Dec. 3rd. He called me, and we talked but I felt very weird going to see him, concidering we're not together anymore. I gave him his stuff back, along with a letter from the state for him. I guess he knew it was the end for us. And felt very upset about it. I did however cross paths with him a week 2 weeks later at the mall. we talked for a good 10 minutes b4 my mom came over, and said it was time to go. we talked about us, and he told me we could try it again. I told him no cause of what we've been through, and the fact that he's living with his ex girlfriend. And I dont need anymore stress from her. He told me he understood, and wished me luck in life. Let's hope things get better for me. The guy I'm with right now. Is dealing with 1 yr and 8 months of jail time. I'm engaged to him, and carrying his child now. for the past 2 1/2 weeks. He is gonna try to get it dropped to a 2nd consecutive. That way he will only be gone less than that, and be out in 8 months on good time. I won't know much more till January 29th. I'll fill u all in when I know more.

My son is in Concord State Prison for Men. On Feb. 1st it will be two years. His sentence was 7 1/2 to 20. When he serves 2/3 of his minimum sentence he can request a sentence reduction. He's not quite half way to that time. The circumstances that led to his incarceration created a great deal of heartache for our family and most of his friends, and especially for his young son. But all that has happened has been a mixed blessing. He is now getting the treatment (medication and counseling) that he needed for his mental illness (which was more severe than any of us knew).

He has been fortunate to have a job he really likes at the prison. He has participated in every program he is able to attend. He is also taking college correspondence courses. Our emphasis has been that he should make the best use of his time in prison and that he keep himself busy as much as he is able. We found a silver lining and truly believe he will come thru it all a stronger and healthier person. He said to us not long ago that it was too bad he had to go to prison to get self-esteem.

I hope and pray that other familes and inmates are able to make the best of whatever situtations they find themselves during such difficult times. My best wishes to all the other inmates and their families and friends.

I hope you son is doing well. As I said my son was released from csp on Dec 30th. He was there for 10 1/2 monthes. I believe the good news for you is that the reduction bill was passed so he could be looking at less time. My son has been do pretty well since he got out. Hopefully he will find a job soon and that will be a big step. He has been working out and eating healthy. If you have any questions let me know I am sure he can help you more than I can. God bless
