Default How many of you keep letters?

I was wondering if I am the only one with a shrine. LOL I keep all the letters from Jeremy in binders, aranged by date, etc. With pictures on the fronts and stuff. Like a scrapbook. Does anyone else do this?

LOL. I have done the same exact thing. I organized all his letters by date and placed them in a binder. I got about halfway through and ran out of space in the binder so I had to go by two extra big binders. I know that I'm gonna need the space because we have a little under 3 years of letters left.

Yep, I'm guilty too! First to last letter in a huge binder, arranged by date, with the envelopes tucked behind each one lol. Every magazine article, newspaper clipping, drawing, notes on scrap paper, it's all in there!

I keep everything he has ever sent me, including a cross he made out of peices of his sheets which I never take off.

Not to mention he keeps everything I send him and when he gets alot he sends them back to me and they go into the memory book that we are keeping.
So far we are on book 4 since I write every day

I also have gifts I have bought him like I did before he was arrested and all of them are displayed so that when he gets home he won't be able to get to his side of the bed without going through it all.
He is a spoiled man *laughs*

All his letters are in a box, in my night stand next to my bed. I keep them tyed with a ribbon and sometimes pull them out and hold them just to have "him" close!! I am so pathetic sometimes!

I keep all of my husband's letters and pictures that he has sent to me in a plastic box. When I feel kind of down and missing him so much, I will go and read all his letters, to kind of cheer me up a little.

yep!! i keep all my baby's letters in a box... i save all the envelopes too because he always draws me really nice things on them... aww he's so cute.. anyways yea i have some other important things from our relationship in there too so i guess you can call it a shrine? lol... i definitely pull it out when i'm feeling down and i re-read some of his really cute, sappy letters or look at some of his nicer drawings or look at pictures and it usually makes me feel better... but i know i will feel a whole lot better when he's actually here instead of a box of memories and reminders...

I keep every scrap... I am new to this whole thing and so far it's only a manageable handful of letters, but I can see the day coming fast that I'll need to decide on a storage system.

Hmmm, organization................There's a thought!

I have everything in a drawer in my dresser. But there have been times he's told me something about family or something that I need to go look over again and I have to go through all the letters to find it. Not that I mind re-reading everything, but some sort of system might be better!

Maybe I'll put mine in a binder too..................

Guilty as charged!!! All his letters and poems are stored in date order in binders in my closet.. All his drawings are in a memory book. He also keeps everything and sends them yearly to his mom's for storage until he is home. After 4-1/2 years I have one and a half binders full, have one left to last us until he is home (although I think I could find something else to use if for if he comes home sooner than his MRD )... For some reason I think his mom probably has more paper stored in her closet than I do, but still love that man!!!

I love him to pieces. 4 years till my sweetie gets out, it is very hard !!! Please PM back I need support on how to carry on the four years, I am going up to Florida to visit him in July, I reside in the US Virgin Islands and he in Florida Correctional Institution, I am trying to relocate, but it's hard to find a place, I am looking for someone I can be roommates with any way waiting to hear from you guys.

Default My Love Shrine...

I keep all of mine in order by date as well and then I have a seperate book with pictures in order by date as well. I even take his pictures to Walmart and scan them and make more prints of them so I can have copies at work as well and also a travel book of him to take when I travel. I like to keep him with me at all times and the sentiments they come with.

I keep all of Joshuas letters and cards organized in a box...I have soo many of them! I also have a notebook that I keep the most recent letters in, and the poetry he's written me, and "stories". If I'm missing him I'll go and read through and look over all my stuff and it makes me feel better.
