Default Would Like Christian reentry program info

If anyone knows anything about any christian reentry programs or homes I would sure appreciate it. My brother still has a couple years left on his sentence but is adamant about getting information on all his options. He really would like to be successful and not go back to prison. What do you all think would be the most successful thing for any ex con to do?

Easy. Fix the problem. Most of the time, it is pretty easy to figure out why someone landed in prison. Addicts need residential rehab; the mentally ill need an MD and a Prescription. Overall stability can be very important, so the parolee doesn't slide into old habits and friendships.

Are in interested in Christian rehabs? That'd be Salvation Army and Teen Challenge, as well as a number of small local programs. You can get information regarding rehabs in a specific county from that county's Health Department (or whatever they call that department.)

What county will he be paroling to? It's usually his last county of residence. I can post some info for you once I know where he's supposed to be paroled to. Good for him that's he's looking ahead - that's a step in the right direction! I will also PM you with some additional Christian resources for him.

He will probably parole to San Luis Obispo county. I would like for him to transfer to San Diego, that's where I am. Just the thought of him being around all his old friends make me stress out. Any info available would be awesome. Everyone on this site has been wonderful.

Catholic Charities USA might be able to help or to offer referrals to appropriate resources.

Another directory with lots of link

Last month I posted a list for you for San Diego County. If you use these two links, you will find a lot of programs that are faith based...
