Default Sober living homes - experiences?

My friend was just told that he could do DUI home confinement at a sober living home after he finishes the DUI program where he's at (Cybulski). This is a big deal, because his family & friends all live out of state, so he didn't have anyone to sponsor him. My question is - does anyone have any experiences with sober living places in the state and/or have someone who used one for home confinement?

I haven't had very much experience with sober living, other than having had a friend live in one for a short period. He was not court-involved, and I am not certain how that changes the dynamics of the stay. If you have specific questions I can try to answer; he was in East Hartford over the summer.

You can also look at 211; a great resource for social service resources. This service is nationwide and is a wonderful source of help. In addition to linking people with services, it can also assist in providing information. I started to look up sober living, but it would be helpful to look into it based on the city you are interested.

Best of luck!
