Default Visitation call time?

So I thought that no one worked in visitation on Saturdays and Sunday's just mon-fri 8am-5pm. Well I called today (Friday) at 3:30pm and the lady that answered the call said I had to call back tomorrow (Saturday) to talk to some one in visitation to see if my husband was back at the unit. He was transferred to Byrd to get a MRI done...does the people who work in visitation hours and days change with each location or not cause I'm seriously pissed right now.

Perhaps, because today is an optional holiday, there were not many employees in work today and so the phones were being covered by other employees from a different department.

concur. Standard practice for non-correctional personnel on skeleton crew days (like Good Friday) is that more than half the peeps are given the day off and the balance are often going to get a teletype to the unit around noon directing those still at work to go home.
