I need info on the Steve Hoyle re-entry program in Bossier Parish.

It's a 3 month program and after completion a year gets knocked off the sentence. My b/f initially was supposed to get out this Oct. but after getting transferred from Madison Parish to Bossier Parish he got out this past Feb after completing the program

Can you tell me about the program? Its my understanding there is no visitation. Are they in class all day?

Thats correct there isnt any visitation. The classes are a bunch of BS you know the usual drugs are bad and yada yada yada things we already know. Its a re-entry program meaning re-entry into society so I would assume anything other than drugs its about succesfully entering back into society. Its not anything GED related if thats what you're wondering.

So my husband starts the program monday and he says its 6 months and he only gets 6 month off is that correct or is it really 3 months with the 12 month credit. It really sucks that I can't visit what is the exclamation for that. I would like some info if you have it. Thanks

Only way to really find out is that he review his paperwork. It may depend on his case or maybe they changed things up a bit. You can call the facility and maybe they can shed some light. When I first read the article that Jindal was passing this it was completing the course and have a year taken off the sentence.
