I believe some of the states have their own programs as well. I have probably 300 names between this forum, the parents forum and FB. You are more than welcome to send some cards out to the PWCIP "children".

Hmmm, Well do you think I wrote the address wrong? Do we have a new address for Mr. Mapp? I would like him to have his card... Let me know what is usually done.

Thanks! ~Dana~

I have had a returned card for Justin Paul Galladora, there is a black cross around the PO Box number 970 and a ring around the last part of the zip code 4970. Any ideas anyone

The correct address for Orange Co Jail (where he is) is PO Box 4790, Orlando, Fl 32802-4970. That's pretty typical in the US for the +4 of the zip code to be the same as the PO box # for large facilities (like jails and prisons). You would think they could figure this out but I guess not

I received a returned ST Patty's day card which was destined for Delilah W in Hawaii. The reason for return was "need correct Reg No". I double checked the number I was given with the one I wrote and they are identical. The only thing I can figure is that there's no (-) between the 1st 5 digits and the last 3 as they are posted on the BOP website. I usually catch that but you'd think they could figure it out anyway!!????
I will resend the card (better late than never) with an apology for BOP's ignorance.

Aguilar Cooper's card from Knoxville, TN was returned because I had included too many pictures with my greeting. I modified the letter and resent.

Heads up:

The DOC in Tennessee only allows 5 pictures with each piece of correspondence.

We need to get a web developer on here to make us a database for each inmate! Where they are, rules & regs for their institution, lol!

The more I read about restrictions, the more blessed I feel about where my guy is. I guess federal isn't so bad!

I got a Easter card returned for Keith B from RayBrook, NY. I checked the BOP website and apparently he's been moved to another facility. I guess the BOP doesn't believe in forwarding mail so I'll send it back out even though it will be late. If anyone else gets one back for him PM me for his new address.

I had a birthday card for Brandon McMillian in KY, because I'd put a crossword puzzle in with it. Sorry, I didn't realise it was contraband

I know it's very late, but will still resend. Better late than never I guess.

I had a returned card for Thomas O from Phila, PA. I did some investigating and discovered that he's been moved to a different facility so I will resend his Easter card- better late than never. I have the current address if anyone else needs it.

After modifying and resending Aquila Cooper's card and letter, it was again returned to me. This time the envelope is stamped "no longer at this facility". I've been attempting since March to get this greeting to Aquila with no luck. If the OP has forwarding information, I'd be pleased to give it a go - one more time.

Thanks

I'm not sure how many of the parents would feel comfortable sending cards out to other people's husbands or boyfriends but I'm going to try to recruit some of them to come to Elsa's project.

That would be nice if you could get some of them in here, My husband and his pod mates love cards. I don't care who sends him the cards because he feels thought of when he gets them and always feels so good. I love volunteers who help with these card projects!
