Default Mental health meds

I need to know what my options are: My son has been diagnosed as bi-polar and add (on the outside) and when he went to prison the 1st of October they continued with his meds. However, he was just moved to the Gus Harrison prison and the doctor there told him he doesn't need medication. They took him off it cold turkey and now he's having mood swings, fights and not coping well at all. Pleas give me some direction as to what I can do to get him back on the meds.

If you need additional help, I would consult the relevant prisoner legal services organization in your state.

Just to gice you guys a quick update... I contacted this "Bill Vette" guy,(thankyou Sandymom) through via email. The same day I emailed him, he called me and we discussed what was going on with my husband... reguarding his medication. He said whenever he could he would talk to my husband personally. I thought to myself okay you know... well then a week and a half later; I got a phone call from my husband telling me a guy named Bill Vette came to see him. He gave my husband a bunch of papers to fill out, and advised him to write Lansing about the situation. I couldn't believe it.. this guy really came through... then to top it off.. after Mr. Vette left the facility... my husband's therapist called him in her office wanting to know who he was... and told him not to bother writing Lansing because it would do no good... so I don't know... so I thought that was pretty cool. I am throughly impressed

My friends son was at Gus Harrison and it was exactly the same story with him. They took him off his meds and he did not cope well. The therapist at Gus appears to be fond of undiagnosing people.
