He just called me about an hour ago, said they couldn't leave the units. Who knows! So frustrating that grown men have to act like kids so we can't talk to them or go see them!!

I know! It is INSANE!!! What is upsetting me right now is the fact that mine knows I was leaving tonight... and hasn't made an effort to make sure I knew that they weren't having visits... that is what is making me mad! I am just glad that I called and found out!

He just e-mailed. He thought we could still visit this weekend, cause that is what they told him... still glad I called first. Guess I will just go in two weeks!

Default Visit..

Hey all! Just got home from a one day visit with my sweetie! I took my kids with me, and they were great!! This was the first time they had seen him for almost a year and a half!

They were "scared" of him at first, but warmed up really quick! At the end of visit, he was holding my little one, and I really don't think he wanted to let him go. Although he loves all of my kids, he and the youngest have always been really close. It really made my heart smile to see them together again...

We thought that this was the only time I would bring them, but by the end, he was asking them if they would want to come back and see him again. Of course they said yes!

Anyway, just wanted to share!

Glad you had a goodtime with your kids! We went for three days last weekend. I loved it of course, but my daughter was ready to go by Sunday. The new round of co's seem to be pretty cool I think. The only problem we had was that two of the vending machines were out of order. One of them being the cold items. There were alot of hungry and unhappy people by Sunday!

I agree about the Co's. They are pretty laid back! There was one girl with her LEG over top of his, and sitting sideways in her seat! I always got in trouble for doing that! LOL But, it was nice to actually "cuddle" a little more than usual! I am going back at the end of Aug (for his birthday), so HOPEFULLY it will be before they change again!

I am going for three days next time, but I am not sure what time visits start on Friday.... can ya fill me in? : ) Oh, and BTW.. I LOVE your new pic you have up! How cute!

Yes, they definately allow more cuddle time, which is great! They should be there at least until the end of August. I think they change every quarter. Visits are from 8 to 3 on Fridays also. Well, 9 by the time they get the guys up there!

Thanks for the picture comment!

That is great that they want to go back to see him. It is important not only for them but for him to. I SS in August and my husband is insisting on bringing my first brand new grandson (5months old) and I was concerned but now I know I want to see him. If I can't see all the important stage of the first couple of years I still want him to see me so he knows me and is not afraid of me upon my return.

Yes he has. It's crazy that they work them so much. We went down on Sunday the 25th and he had to go to work after our visit. I think the first day they didn't have overtime was Friday.

I know! It is insane! But... do you know how RELIEVED I am that you told me that he was working over???? We have a little bit of a trust issue... and I just had a feeling.. THANK YOU for your answer...

I don't know how they can work them so much. It isn't right, but I guess the busier they are working, the less trouble they can get in to!

Can I ask what he does there? Mine does some kind of water testing... LOL

You are very welcome. It seemed kind of unreal to me that they were working so much too. When we went to visit one of the CO's was talking about how much they work too.

Keeping them out of trouble is always a good thing. Less time on their hands means less time to get in trouble. My guy emails me and calls me on his lunch break and dinner break because sometimes it is really late when he gets off.

He sews the waistband on military pants. I guess when he comes home he can keep our clothes in good shape! LOL

I guess so! Mine likes to sew, but they won't put him on a machine for one reason or the other... oh well!

I usually get e-mails at those times too, but he has gone to only calling on Saturdays... it is KILLING me! I can't stand it.

He really upset me yesterday though.. only e-mailed once, and he didn't work OT. Don't know if he was supposed to or not, but he was planning on not working anyway, cause he has been really sick. But I knew he was taking the day off... just didn't know it was from ME too!

I haven't heard from him today since noon...

Oh, I sent you a personal message on here! :P
