My guy would take a music class,or mechanics....while I think he should really take an anger management class.....since anger is the root of why he is where he is.

He hates to draw, although he's good at it. He's already earned his GED and completed mandatory Anger Management, LOL...he would want to do something like mechanics. Something he could use when he comes home.

HVAC or Waste Water Treatment certification. Both so helpful on the outside, companies that often hire felons.

Well I chose 'other' because even though he would take just about any class available if he could he would love to do some sort of cooking class.

That man sure loves his food he tortures himself constantly with any number of food shows on television.

Shame they won't let guys with longer sentences or life do most of these classes they offer. I understand they most likely won't be able to use what they learn on the outside so it's not productive in that respect but it would mean so much to them on so many levels while inside. Oh well what you going to do they don't seem to want to be moved on it.

In my very cherry busting experience with jails, I was a guest at one of the United States Navy's premier institutions. Camp Pendleton Brig. It was famous having already been reviewed by no less than Time Magazine. You could think of it as a prototype of Guantanamo except we didnt have any Muslims back then, so they were testing their methods out on White Rednecks, and Mexicans, and Americanized Negroes.

They asked me what I wanted to learn, and one of the choices was welding. I grinned .Yoall gonna give me a cutting torch?
