Default HMP Wakefield will no longer allow contact with fiance. What can I do?

My fiance is in wakefield. The prison has decided to bo longer allow me any contact with him. I have tried countless times to have their decision reversed with no luck. Any advice? Please? I am very worried about him.

what is the reason they elected to terminate your contact (not sure if this is visits, phone, mail or some combination thereof)? Yes, it matters...

ALL contact. Letters, phone and visits. I live in the US now too which has made this all so much harder. The reason they gave is "it's not condusive to his rehabilitation." Nothing more in depth than that. I dont know what to do. He has already been on suicide watch once before when he temporarily had to stop phone contact with me...and this is all contact!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I would take some legal advice Have you still got family in the UK that could get a lawyer to look into this?

That must be horrible for you. I would write a letter to the Warden and ask for an exact explanation why they have cut your contact. The distance sucks I know because I'm in the UK and my husband is in NV but we have contact. I wonder if there's any prison family groups that could perhaps help. I really feel for you both. I know there's a charity called Prison Advice and Care Trust - www.prisonadvice.org.uk - or here's another charity www.familylives.org.uk. If you emailed them they might be able to suggest what to do.

HMP Wakefield is a high security cat A prison and they have stricter visiting rules than other prisons but it sounds unfair that you have lost your visiting without breaking the rules.
Is your loved one an American citizen if so see if your UK based embassy will assist you. They can arrange a visit and see how he is.
https://travel.state.gov/content/pas...es/arrest.html
Iwould write to the warden and appeal your loss of visits explain you are in the USA and cant visit often but you would like to be able to see him.

If he is an American in a UK prison he should be in regular contact with the American Embassy. They will be his best friends throughout his sentence.
You can call the Embassy in London on his behalf and ask them to check on him.

Ok so he is British so the American Embassy wont help him.I would advice as others have done that you contact www.prisonadvice.org.uk
www.familylives.org.uk
They will advise you on the best way to proceed. Also see if you can contact the prison chaplain as they will do a welfare check up if you are concerned.

Hey so I have written both those organizations and they both pretty much said there is little to nothing they can do to help. I am at the end of my rope, and I'm scared that's exactly how he may end up too!

Do you think that would do anything? The person I have written to and heard back from was Kieran Ryan.

Who is Kieran Ryan is he an assistant Governor? Has he given you information about appealing the decison or has he decided that the status of no visits remains?

Were you a part of his case (victim, accomplice, co-def)?

No I was not a part of his case whatsoever.

And Kieran Ryan's title is Head of Public Protection. I did also get a new letter giving the same generic reason from a Greg Jones, Head of Offender Management Unit.

It's not just visits. It's all communication. So no letters or phone calls either! And I have only been told that they are not reinstating contact with me to my fiance!
