Question Intro--tiffany*newton from Virginia

I am new here and I am trying to find out about the indegent package where my husband is currently at. How do I go about finding out??

He should have gotten a handbook if he is in VA DOC that would explain it to him. They receive them in classification. If he is in a local jail, they all work differently so the best advice I can give for a jail is to call the jail.

I checked a little more on this and the only way in VA DOC to declare yourself indigent is have next to nothing on your account. Once money hits the account, you are no longer indigent.
