Default Patuxent Institution Help

Hi, my son has been sent to Patuxent Institution in Jessup, MD. I am having a hard time understanding the proper procedure to send him money and to get some commissary for him. He has been there now 3 weeks and all I have managed to get right has been the phone calls. Do I have to get money orders and mail them to Baltimore in order to put money on his books or can I send money through like an online service? (I am home bound and getting money orders is really inconvenient when all my banking is usually done online these days.) Also, I need to know where I can buy his commissary items (like food and hygiene supplies). I seen to know where i can get the "fun" stuff, like radios and music and TV and such, but they do not offer the necessities which is what he needs right now. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. ox

PS I have searched on here and through out the web trying to find an answer to this, but I am not finding anything that is clear or up to date. Thanks.

Here is the money order info for that facility:

Lockbox FAQs

That's the only option I can find...jpay doesn't service Maryland facilities. I didn't check Western Union *Quick Collect, but from what I can find, that may not be a option either

My husband is there and you have to send the money orders to the Baltimore address and regular mail goes to the PO 700 address.. Make sure u put his SSID # on the money order and be sure to address the envelope like ex: inmate name (PATX) 123-456 and then the baltimore address.. He has to orders his commissary
