Default DOC Audit

ADN has a story concerning the recent year long audit of DOC. I still can't post links... You have to have made 25 posts or more before you put up links. But a visit to ADN . com should give you the article.

I believe this is the story you are referring to:

A yearlong, legislatively mandated performance review of the Alaska Department of Corrections found that the agency is “moderately effective” when conducting its primary functions of confining inmates in jails and supervising them on release.

It wouldnt surprise me to see them start contracting out to the lower 48. The doc is very flawed .
