Default How long before I can review PSI? Link to how Judges rule in similar cases?

Hi guys quick question , how long does it take to get a Psi reporr back? Will I need to ask my lawyer for results? Also,I saw a link to see how judges usually rule in cases but I can't find it .Does anyone have any idea what that link is? Thank you!

Welcome to Prison Talk. Your lawyer will receive your PSI report with time to review it. The judge gave the PO a deadline for completing it. It is important to go over the entire report with your lawyer and file a formal objection to any harmful mistakes or embellishments by the PO. Your lawyer will know how to judge your judge's sentencing history.

A link of that nature is going to be either state or Federal specific. What state?

Last quick question. I had never done a PSI.
I didn't make a statement. I'm fully wrong for my actions and the last six months have been seeking help. I'm really worried that is going to look like I don't care? I'm completely worried leaving that blank will be a huge deciding factor ( the p.o said it didn't have to be filled out )I'm driving myself crazy is what I am doing.

As I understand it, probation/parole reviews all info.
I dont recall if they also interview you.

Take a breath.
A copy is given to your attny. You both can review it and challenge things that may not be included in it.
(I recall this happened with my husband......his attny challenged something in the report that was not correct)

I'm going to sound silly but I'm having a hard time. I'm starting to have nightmares etc. I handled the possibility of some jail time ok at first , but now I'm just fixated that's the only way. So I feel like I am waiting in extreme anxiety. I am on house arrest and that's ok but I'm in my mind a lot. My appetite is gone. And I feel like I have been in some sort of war. It is helping some to vent here.

What you are feeling is pretty common with folks facing jail/prison. You can't change the future, but you can change how you deal with it. Talk to someone who can help you learn how to successfully cope with your punishment.

Since America loves to imprison it's inhabitants, probably half of the population has dealt with a first time in prison. You will make it through, but your actual experience will depend on how you present yourself to the other inmates and staff. Inmate etiquette. Here's one 2 page PTO thread:

It does not sound silly at ALL.
Sounds perfectly natural to be afraid/nervous/etc.
All of the unknowns are often worse than what really happens.

there will be alot of boredom. Alot of hurry up and wait.
Hopefully you have family/friends who will assist you while you are *in* by sending letters, maybe a few bucks every now and then, visit when they can.
