What website are you looking at to see if they are still locked down or not???? On the McCreary website it doesn't give me any extra information about if they are locked down or not... I got my info from calling up there and speaking with staff.

Lockdowns will not be posted on the prison's bop web page. What often happens is the red banner "All visiting at this facility has been suspended until further notice" is, which almost always signifies a lockdown. Here's a link to USP Coleman 1 which currently has the banner posted.

I have not other than they're still LD according to BOP website and staff. Not even a letter yet from my LO which is strange because he writes them every Sunday. Shouldn't i hear something I'll post here.

So I had something strange happen as well with the mail... he told me he sent out 4 envelopes and I know that the LD started on Sunday, but I'm trying to remember if he told me this before Sunday or ON Sunday... I ended up finally getting mail yesterday but only one envelope. It was numbered.... so I know that three of the other envelopes are missing. And the letter inside was written before the LD... so I thought it was a little weird. I was wondering why I haven't gotten any mail all week. And then I got that, which was old and missing 3 other envelopes... so I was just thinking ok... maybe the mail is slow? But now that you said something too, it makes me wonder.

Mail both to and from inmates often slows way down during lockdowns. Every piece has to be delivered to the individual cells, and the COs sometimes are unwilling to do that.

I received a letter from my fiancé, they will most likely be off lockdown by a week he said . Today makes a week so hopefully if not today then tomorrow

Thank you all for keeping the updates coming. My SO had not called either n I know he would if he could- I just had a bday and he was trying to make sure he had funds to call. I miss him but knowing I'm not alone via these posts from you all makes it better.

Hey ladies... I spoke with them up there a few days after thus started and asked if there is an end in sight for this lockdown. They said that they do have a plan to get off the LD. He actually said that today was the day he thought it would end but he didnt want me to quote him on anything. I spoke to someone that would be attending the meeting with the warden and staff that would be trying to end this with whatever plan they have. I also asked about store, he said if for some reason they don't come off lock, they'll get to go to store this week at the latest.
I then got a letter from my dude saying that were locked down until the shu wasnt full anymore.
He doesnt have the resources I do. I wrote to him letting him know about the call I had.
The gentleman I spoke with told me that he didnt want me to quote him because, as with all prisons, if he tells me they're supposed to come off LD today or tomorrow.... As soon as I quote him on that, it will end up being a month from now. And if he was to say "next month" it will be tomorrow.
So, as I said... There is a plan... They're trying to execute it. Lets just keep our fingers crossed. It SHOULD be this week. Hopefully today or tomorrow (which is Tues or Weds Oct 8th or 9th), if we're lucky.

Hi ladies! I meant to post on Saturday but time got away from me. I had received a letter from my husband as well and he mentioned the SHU being overcrowded so it was supposed to be by last week but now they were saying this week. He said by Thursday at the latest so I'm hoping that is accurate and actually happens. I think it is so sad that they get penalized for something they can't control. And I am going crazy without him.
