Pennsylvania marriage: warden (Federal) unwilling to allow name change
Seeking some advice regarding this issue. My husband and I were married via proxy marriage in Kansas on July 11th, 2019. My husband is currently incarcerated in a federal prison in Pennsylvania. The only prison rules that we could find which would have allowed us to marry were that we had to find a courthouse willing to videoconference him in person in order to get our license -- and none would -- which is why we decided to go the proxy route. However, I have now changed my married name on my driver's license, social security card, etc., and presented them to the prison Warden, along with a letter explaining everything, requesting her to change my last name in their system so I can visit my husband. However, she is refusing to allow me to do that. Will not explain why, won't call me, won't talk to me in any way, shape or form, and I do not understand this. Should I contact an attorney for help in this matter, and if so, what type of attorney would I contact? Or is there some other way I can go about this?
