Right now the only route of collective complaint filing I know of is through Prison Law Office. You're welcome to contact the ombudsman and the IFC for your specific facility and voice your concerns, as well.

Truly, Prison Law Office is your best bet. They have the resources, the connections and the manpower to press the issue. They have asked folks to email them their experiences and concerns. Your IFC chairperson is also a direct link to voicing concerns to CDC. They are a volunteer loved one like you and I and have inmate and family concerns at the forefront of their task list. They meet with facility staff, including yard captains and the warden, and speak with them regarding events such as integration.

Please be careful that we aren't splintering efforts off. That weakens your stance and makes it more difficult to be impactful. This is NOT a legislation issue and your local lawmakers and attorneys will not be able to assist you in the same way that prison advocacy groups like PLO and existing channels like IFC can.

If you have not emailed PLO and IFC, do that first.

As suggested by miamac, I have filed a complaint with the Prison Law Office, Please everyone do the same, hopefully they will have enough complaints to do something.

You have to mail Prison Law Office per instructions on the flier. PLO doesn't accept or take phone calls / emails for their own reasons.

Here is a link to their contact page which, contains same address as the flyer.

Here is the flyer. It gives you direction for writing. They want specifics, so if you need to clarify dates/locations with your LO be sure to do that before writing.

Default Not a rumor!!!

It Is not a rumor. The CDCR already posted which prisons are being integrated with some stupid explanations! I heard yesterday from my husband that 11 deaths have already taken place in California. That means that there is going to be 11 more lawsuits that us taxpayers are going to have to pay for. I do not understand the reasoning behind it nor comprehend how this is legal. NotOnly are they putting these prisoners who are supposed to be in protective custody at risk, but they are putting our loved ones who are in general population at risk as well. Something needs to be done, people need to take action, and get involved!

You're encouraged to send specific details and concerns to Prison Law Office at office@prisonlaw.com . Email your IFC representative and voice your concerns so they can adequately speak on your behalf with facility staff. You can call or email your facility ombudsman if you have a concern directly related to your loved one.

Update. They integrated nksp. They brought like 30 gp inmates from Lancaster and placed them in a sny yard at nksp. I was told it was tense on Thursday for a while but it is actually going good right now. There may be hope.

We can hope so. One thing we should emphasize is on the flyer. PLO is also looking for input directly from inmates as well as from us on the outside. We can email or write. Inmates cannot email, but they can write. I suggest mailing printouts of the flyer and mail to your LO if they are at an affected prison. Tell them to pass the word - and PLO address - to others so they can also write and relate what they have experienced.

The fact that PLO created this flier means integration is on their radar. That is a good thing. It leads me to believe that if integration by CDCR starts going south and there are documented problems, they will act. The key is proper documentation. That is what any legal team, which is what PLO is, require.

My fiancé is at New Folsom. He was transferred from Mule Creek SNY. There are supposed to be 30 more inmates transferring in soon. Has anyone heard where they’re coming from?
Thanks

I was just told that on prison television today they announced that Salinas Valley A yard was going to integrate. If that is true, it will be interesting. That is currently a level 3 SNY yard. I don't know time frame. Apparently Kernan was on the "show" explaining to inmates the whole idea and reasoning for integration.

I'll keep an eye on that to see if it's real. The formal word from CDCR is only level 1, camps, maybe some level 2(?), and some higher level mental health (EOP etc) yards would or are already integrated. This fits none of those categories.

My son is being moved from Sierra Conversation Center SNY to San Quentin programming yard. Does any of you ladies know how things are at San Quentin?

According to the posts directly above, yes that is happening now at San Quentin. According to releases from CDCR every camp and level 1 yard in CDCR will be integrated by October. To meet that goal, it's reasonable to assume that all level 1 / camp inmates will be moving to integrated yards or on yards receiving inmates for integration no later than about the end of the summer.

I was told by the CC2 from Sierra Conservation Center that all the active Norteno's and anyone not wanting to program were taken off that yard. I will post an update once my son gets there. All I can do is pray and trust God will have his hand on him and protect him. With God all things are possible. "No weapon formed against us, shall prosper"
