How long is a visit ban? And what happens when their is such case? Do they lose time?

Its going to depend on the seriousness of the behavior that caused the "ban." Is it a ban or a suspension? Sometimes visits are suspended for too much body contact at visit, disrupting visits, and other such behaviors. Those are most often reinstated, possibly after having to reapply and/or writing the Warden. A "ban," to me, indicates something serious, such an bringing in contraband. Those are usually for the rest of / most of the rest of the inmate's sentence and follows the inmate from facility to facility = still no visits even if he transfers to another facility.

The inmate can lose good time, other privileges and go to the Hole if the infraction is serious enough......with "serious enough" being defined as whatever the facility deems as serious enough.

Every state's policies are / may be a tad different, but the above is the generic rundown.
