I have a couple of questions....can I send hardcover books or can they only have paperbacks? Also can anything else be sent in such as stamps, paper etc?
Also what is family day like there and how often do they have it?
My man is on his way there and I don't know what to expect.
My man is at southern state (at the moment) and i know that you can not mail in any books. You have to purchase them at like barnes and nobles and have them mail it for you. They will not let you mail stamps either. All you can mail is letters, pictures and money orders. They have to purchase everything through canteen.
I have never been to family day. If I am not mistaken it was this month. Depending on which section of southern state they put him in (Camp a, b, c etc) they could have had it already. My man was not allowed to attend family day. (can you see how good he is )
From what I heard its ok there. I only went to see him one time while he was in there. The visits are ok. If you need any more information let me know and I will try to help a sista out.
Much Peace Sista

I know at CRAF they aren't allowed HARDCOVER books, so
check that out. Apparently they view them as possible weapons.
Seriously.. I didn't realize it and had Amazon.com send crossword puzzle books, word games etc. to Bob and that was fine. I sent two other books that were hardcover - one got sent to me, which was fine but the other (a Neil Diamond book - he loves him) apparently was kept by someone
in the prison. Bob knew it was sent but they told him they kept it and
didn't send it back to me. Assholes!!! He said in his letter about it to me that he was surprised because he didn't realize any of them could read. lol
