My guy is there. Worrisome. I loaded him up with stuff for a lockdown but can't hardly communicate with him. Telemate is ridiculously backed up right now. Snail mail is the thing for the moment. Get to know aspects of him better through letters. Life is a bitch out here in my world with hour reductions, etc., but at least I am still working. Will concentrate on this mess and we will ride this out...

Telmate is always a train wreck. Constant video drops, website timing out, and poor quality when it worked has haunted that service before this even happened. But hey, 2 5 minute calls makes up for it.

You are right on about Telmate!!! Half the time, messages go floating and you haven't said anything racy, etc. One time I wrote "message floating" and it didn't go through! There are so many problems getting the system to run that a 30-minute video visit is really about 20 minutes most times. He is in a 400-man unit so the phone is backed up now too, when they are allowed to be out and around. Sometimes he can snag a tablet. It's just a matter of staying calm and riding this out...
