How does a person qualify for a parole review? What is the process?
How does a person qualify for a parole review; and what are the chances of getting it.
My friend said his counselor told him that he qualifies. And does anyone know how long that process is?
Im not sure about how, because my hub just had to do 85% of his sentence and then was required to parole. (meaning if he did his whole bid, he would still have parole)
Hopefully someone will come along and give you a better answer.

I would need to know a little more information to help you. What was his orginal sentence? How long? Was it a non violent or violent conviction? How old was he when he was convicted? The answers would me or anyone who has knowledge to assist and answer your questions.

Hi
He was sentenced to I believe 12 years in 2009. I believe it was violent because he was found with something they determined to be a weapon. He was 20-22 @ that time.
I also don't know when he's scheduled to be released. I think it's sometime in 2017 or 2018.
If his release is 2017 0r 2018 that's about 85 percent of his sentence. He has about 24 months, it seems like he has a determinate sentence/violent offense. he would have to serve 85 percent. If he was sentence in 2009 then 2020 would be the year minus the 85 percent will put him at around the end of 2017 beginning of 2018.
