Default Jail caught fire so he was moved, now what?

My daughter's father was in a county prison for about three months after being arrested and had to stay in there because his bail was way too high to get out on, even with a bondsman. He had another case he was supposed to be sentenced 6 months house arrest for but now that he is in jail he was given 6-14 months in county for that case. His new case he had a plea court hearing about a month ago and the judge wanted to give him 2-4 years but his lawyer advised him that he shouldn't take that deal because he could get a better deal considering there was someone else involved with his case who did way worst things on top of whatever he did and she had a lot worst criminal history than him and she got a max of 2 years. Anyways so today the jail he was in caught on fire. Basically the whole place looks like it is going to have to be torn down and rebuilt. Everyone is okay and all the inmates have been moved to other county jails. My ex has a court date at the end of next month for another plea hearing to try to get a better deal. Does anyone know what happens in situations like this? Will he be able to keep his public defender? She's a really good one and I doubt he would be assigned another one who would care so much about his case. Would his hearings be still done at the old county's court or would that all be done at the new one? He also was starting lockup due to the fact he got into a fight with another inmate I think. Will this mess up his chances of getting out on parole once he gets to 6 months like he is hoping? Also he only had a tiny bit of money he needed to make stretch for however long he was in there, will they transfer that money over to the new jail or is he screwed? I still do care about him but I refuse to be with him until he can prove he will keep his nose clean for the sake of our daughter and me, but the fact he is in lockup is not helping his case with me, nor with his court case I am assuming.
Edit: Sorry, titled is messed up, I'm overly tired and didn't proofread.

He'll keep his PD, and the case will stay in the County of origin. Generally, he'll be transported for his court dates.

Okay, that was what I was hoping. Just a crazy turn of events. The fire is still going on but thankfully they have the fire under control now. They don't think the prison can be saved though. The building was so out of date I am wondering if any inmates are going to try suing the county for endangerment or something because the county has neglected for years to fix some problems with that building and there have been several lawsuits of the living conditions.
I know my ex is now in what is considered a state jail, but he is about 30 mins away so there is no chance of me being able to bring his daughter to see him when he is done with lockup. I am also kinda worried because I googled the place he was at and found a lot of bad things about the place and with him entering the place as an inmate on violent lockup, won't be good for him.
Thanks for answering my questions so often.
I did have one question, do you think they are going to at least give the inmates some nessicities and maybe even let them call or write to loved ones because even though it is reported that everyone is ok, family will still be worried.

They'll be on the prison's schedule, but they won't be prevented from writing unless there's a good reason (like they're threatening to stick the writing utensil into somebody).

Nobody will be suing, except the habituals who have nothing better than to file frivolous law suits.

All that's really changed is his address. Be glad - natural disasters wiped out New Orleans, Cedar Rapids and other state and federal courts AND jails. This put a real monkey wrench in most systems and, at least in CR, it was a bitch getting everything straightened out, especially with a speedy trial motion in place. Wound up sharing space wherever there was something akin to a courtroom available, even if it was more than 50 miles away.
