Can the "offenders" (hate that term) email us back?

If he is federal, yes he can.
If he's state, no, they get the printed out email with the regular mail.

Unfortunately inmates in TDCJ cannot email you back. The unit will print the email you send and give it to them with their regular mail. I would assume this is the same for State Jail inmates too (someone will correct me if I'm wrong). When my hubby was at Gurney if I sent the email in the morning or early afternoon he would get it the same day. He got transferred to Hutchins and they don't have email service yet.

nope "inmate-email" is strictly a letter you type send and they print off and hand deliver to your inmate. sucks huh? They can only reply by handwriting you back.
