Default Got an email back from the DA!

Some of you may have read my l;etters to him and others may not. So here is what I get in response to my latest.

Dear Anne,
An honest and impartial review of the history of this matter would
demonstrate that I have repeatedly attempted to arrange a disposition that
would ensure the safety of both the police and Mr. hasenflue upon his
rellease. His unwillingness or mental instability has prevented such a
result. Indeed, as you are fully aware, these efforts occured with the
consent of the victim, Trooper Grbic, but Mr. Hasenflue has obstructed
every effort. I will, however, examine this case again to see if we can
reach an appropriate resolution. Please know that this can only happen
with the consent of Mr. hasenflue and approval of the court. Regardless of
the outcome, I know tha you are attempting to help see a just a fair
result.
Don

CAN'T THEY EVEN TYPE??? have I been in a battle of wits with the TOTALLY unarmed all this time???
Here was my immediate answer. I mean, I recognize that by even talking to me he is giving what he considers 110%. It is just so GOOFY. "An honest and impartial review of the history" reveals a wacko frameup in which the presumption of innocence never existed because of who the "victims" was.
AAARGH!!!!!

Thanks for responding, Don. I might have a tad bit more to say than that but need to think on it. I am curious what you would consider an appropriate gesture from Mr. Hasenflue at this odd juncture. He certainly wishes nothing more than to stay as far as possible from the CJ system as he can manage for the rest of his natural life, and I would say "never hurt anyone again" but as you yourself have acknowledged he's never hurt anyone in the past either except perhaps their dignity.
My sincerest condolences to the entire courthouse crew on Judge Bradley's passing; it sounds like he was a good guy.
A.

I find it just too intensely Freudian that they could not even manage to capitalize his name two times out of three. I am moving tomorrow and gonna be offline for like a week, but my response is going to be like, O-kay, while you are reexamining, reexamine THIS: and hit him with a pile of evidence RE actual innocence. That's the thing he soooo cannot face of course.

I also think it's huge that he admitted in writing to the possibility of mental instability. That is going to be the face saving maneuver. I smell another plea offer (which honeyboy will want no part of.)
AAAAAUUUUUUGH! I am stuck between the two most stubbornest men in the county. AAAAAAUGH!!!!!!!
and I am stuck with the kind of personality that leads me to empathize with both. that is the really hard part and I guess it's why God offered me the job. The perks are great, I must say. (Good hugs and great stories for the curious.)

The fact the police were never in any danger just flies right on by, doesn't it? As for Eric's safety, there is no doubt in my feeble innocent bystander mind that any sane person who has been targeted like he has would stay far away from that area in order to try to live a normal life as possible after having so much of it stolen.

I smell a plea offer too... or maybe they'll just get sick of the whole damn thing and let him go... time served.
