Default Probation Violation:90 dys + program. Can Judge change sanction? / Updated!

I'm hoping one of you can answer this because I'm SO confused. My boyfriend is set to go in front of the judge on Tuesday, the 10th. He violated probation and was sentenced to 90 days and had to complete a program, which he's done both. But now his dad is saying that his PO told him that if he sees the one judge, he has to stay in until July 2018 (he was, originally supposed to get off probation on the 10th but they maxed it out until July 2018) to finish out his probation. But if he goes in front of the other judge he'll get out the 10th. How is that legal? How can they just change it to where he has to stay in until then when his original sentencing was for 90 days and a program completion? I havent talked to my boyfriend yet and his family is notorious for screwing up information which I saw last time he was in jail so I'm hoping he can clear things up because that just doesn't sound right to me at all

His lawyer will know more about what he is facing than his Dad will. Have him ask his lawyer.

If he was in front of a judge for the probation violation, then that sanction should be reduced to writing somewhere. Unless there was a failure to successfully complete the program that was imposed, then it makes no sense that there would be a continuation of the term of confinement.

He did successfully complete it. His last class was the 29th and thats when he was supposed to get out but his PO never submitted his home plan paperwork so now instead of him seeing the judge the Tuesday before he was supposed to get out he's been waiting to see one. I just dont understand how a judge could change the sentence

I hope when he does see the judge, he gets released from supervision and sent home.
