Default non-traditional jewelry

My ears are gauged with size 4 surgical steel lopes, witch I cannot remove. Will they not let me visit? Does any one else have experience with large ear gauges?

No they will make you take them out. You can wear a cross or a wedding ring that is all that they will let you wear.

I have an industrial in my ear and I always had to take it out but it's easy for me to do. i was going to get a new piercing and decided not to because I didn't want to risk no visits. But you should definantly call down to fremont and talk to the visiting sargent about it. If you can't remove them, they might make special accomodations or something. It never hurts to ask.
Fortuently, fremont's fairly relaxed about visiting though Sullivan (who you'll know if you go down there ever) always gave Chris and I a hard time for doing things that everyone else in the room was doing too, probably cause we're young and new. Fortuently for me, I never have to go back again
But yeah, try calling down there and explaining the situation BEFORE you try and go through security.

I have to get special pliers. They are not sharp earings at all. I would have to make an appointment with a piercer to take them out, could I use rubber plug so I dont have a hole in my ear? I will for sure call before, I don't see spending money to get them removed if they can make an exception. I put a picture of my ear on my profile if you want to see.

I have a feeling you'll either have to remove them or settle for a non-contact visit. I doubt they'll make an exception; too many other visitors would complain. I've seen women with earring "grown" into their eats sent away to get them removed by a jeweler...literally cut out of their ears. I don't think Fremont is that relaxed...that visiting rule is DOC wide. Even people with metal in their bodies sometimes end up with non-contact visits because they set off the metal detectors and DOC personnel have no way of knowing what they really have inside their bodies. They don't x-ray people.

I don't think so, but you can call and ask.

Yep call and ask. It's not about them being sharp it's about you giving them to your guy and then him using them to barter with. They hate bartering and a lot of guys have no financial support so they get a hold of stuff to trade with...that's pretty much all it is.
