Default Fire At Norfolk

Check out the following link from this morning's Boston Globe regarding a fire at MCI-Norfolk, with references to the ongoing Shirley lockdown and the Concord incident:

www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/03/22/fire_injures_inmate_prisons_ending_lockdown

This looks like a good time to start contacting some reporters who may be interested in presenting the truth as it exists out there and stop feeding the public all the myths; our loved ones are striving to be heard, but nobody wants to listen!

Ok guys I talked to my man and he said that some guy in the hole started the fire to his fire proof mattress and it was around 1 or 2 in the morning. He said he heard a lot of banging and guys hollering out to get them out of there. The unit that had the fire was the hold I guess and they moved those guys out to this cages is what he calls them. The fire department came in but by that time the fire was done and I guess they took a few guys to the hospital for the smoke.

Tina,

Relax. Richie is going to laugh at you, or ask you if they gave you pain pills for your surgery. This post that has you all alarmed is more than a year old. My poor Tina. Stuff like this goes on all the time, although a lot less frequently since they banned smoking altogether (inmates & staff). But really, there's almost always some sort of an incident on a daily basis, a fight, some drama or another. These guys learn how to stay away from nonsense like that after they've been in there for a while, so don't lose any sleep over it. There's not much you can do anyway, so worrying is a waste of energy.

Take care, Sunny
