You can go to paper dolls pen pal service and do a search by state. Happy searching!

Yes I did met him 10 months into the relationship which was September 2016. We had 2 hour visits behind glass till he had to be moved back to California March 2017. On August 2017 I travelled 15hrs to have our first an last contract visit. He is now in Arizona again but haven't visited in the new facility due to my car being broken. But soon I will.

I'm putting it out there to the universe that I'll be out in August to see him for a weekend. He gets 6 in-person visits a month, and can ask the warden for extended time since I'll be flying in from out of state. Unfortunately, I may only be able to go for a weekend, but hopefully I can spend two, 6-hour days with him.

Not yet and we have been together 8 months! I'm either going in October or November. It doesn't really matter to me that we haven't met in person, it's just that I want to kiss him so bad! We feel like we have been together our whole life

I went for a video chat visit (he's in county playing the waiting game) a month after we started messaging and I go every weekend now (only 2 months into this but feels like years... I actually had to look at a calendar. Seriously). We started talking on the phone about 2 weeks after our first messages.

It's a good investment if you're serious about each other. Excited for you.

We're very serious about each other and I've never been so happy (though I am being cautious!!! In August when we meet we will have been corresponding by phone, letter, email, video visit for 11 months).

As some of you know, I am/was married, but I have separated from my husband as of May. IDK why I'm explaining myself here, but here I am lol

MWI and I have agreed to let the dust settle from my separation before committing, but I know it's what he and I both want, and that's where it's headed. I have a feeling we'll make that step during the in-person.

I wish I could re-vote because yup, we met in person and every second of the 25 hours we spent together was amazing.

Not yet! He's sending me the application so I get approved to go visit. I don't know how long it takes, but I know it can take awhile. Although I have absolutely nothing in my background that would prevent me from being able to go visit. Hell, I have FBI & DOJ clearances, so it should be quick.

We saw each other in our county court house holding cells - I noticed him staring at me, was a bit creeped out, he was in double red, to us in California means charged with 1st degree murder.. I was like, ewl quit looking at me, but he couldn't hear me if I yelled it.

I went for sentencing and when I came back, I was being dragged in by two bailiffs - serious behavioral issues during sentencing! I sat in my holding cell crying and one of the girls tells me the note that just came flying under the door is for me, I was the only one with "short red hair" it was a note from Jr - we are definitely MWI, but due to my felonies I could not see him for 7 years. I married him shortly after the restriction was lifted ~ OMG, his stare / eye gaze was so strong, fu*king dude, I looove him sooo much!

Received the questionnaire in the mail yesterday so it's going back out in the mail tomorrow. Then the waiting game to find out if I've been approved.

I hope it gets approved!!! Ive heard some prisons accept mwi visits and some dont. He should know if they are accepted, I think California allows it. ....yikes how long to find out usually? If your approved so you have plans to go soon? My boyfriend flat out refused to meet me while he was incarcerated so I never did all of that. Good luck

Luckily California doesn't ask if I knew him before he went in. They have no way of knowing. And it usually takes 4-6 weeks.

When I do get approved, it'll be awhile. Gotta get a job so I have money to make the trip. Plus I have to coordinate with his sister too. She's driving up and I'm driving down. He's in the middle of us.

You are so lucky. The forms he gave me asked. We met at work and the work coordinator there found out about us. He got a ticket and was told under no circumstances would I be allowed to visit.

This is a copy of what California's form looks like. I wrote void over it so no one can print and use it. It's useless without the inmates signature though

Six months left. We use to talk every day but he currently isn't working so he isn't allowed to move money from his work account. It has only been a week. Hopefully he will get back to work next week and can call. It's been a rough week.

I know people here go long periods but it's not something I'm use to. I have been writing him daily.

Been a while since we've had a post in for this poll.
How many MWI are waiting for Covid to blow over for their first meeting? I know the delay is tough, but first meetings are almost always worth it.
