Default Who pays for transfer to another state for parole? Inmate or the sending state?

Hello! My man is currently incarcerated in Iowa but has been given approval for parole in Kentucky. Does anyone know if I have to transport him or will the state do so? Any info on those guidelines would be much appreciated! Thnx!

It will be up to him to purchase the plane/bus/train/etc ticket on his own. The only thing that would get him a free ride would be if Kentucky has an extraditable warrant for him.

He/You pays for it. And make sure you know when they expect him to report by so you don't buy a 3 day bus ticket and they have him listed as reporting the next day because they assume he's flying. If they do have a different date, let them know right away so he isn't violated before he can even get there.
