Default yazoo city, ms camp

my husband is in yazoo city camp. hes only been there for 4 days...doing a 15 month sentence. neither of us have experience with prison so the things he is hearing in there i would like to hear from someone on here.
first of all, is there really a 300 minute a month cap on phone calls? and how many points on email are you allowed? apparently, you can not make unlimited calls or emails to your wife if your in federal prison. dont understand cuz state inmates can call all damn day.
also, is it true that 6 months before your sentence is over do they put you in a halfway house? hes also heard 6 weeks to 3 months before your release you get put on house arrest...so much info and no facts.

I can tell you that the officials and the CO's like to show their authority by telling you and the inmates what they can and can't do. It makes no sense to not hold hands in the pictures. I haven't been since the last of August but plan to go sometime between now and the last of December. I heard it was the warden that decided to stop the picture making. He gave no reasons why. From what I have been told he just likes to show his authority. They do it because they can. I don't know for sure if they have forbidden the hand holding in the pics but that is so ridiculous. It depends on which guards are there on the day you go what they will allow and what they won't. It is different everytime I go.

Default Please Help

My son was sent to Yazoo Medium the first of the year and we have been emailing regularly. The last email I received was on the 11th. It was a very quick email stating they were locking down for some reason and if I don't hear from him, that is why. Can anyone tell me how long these lockdowns usually last and why are they on lockdown?

Thank you so much...

I posted on your visitation post, should be helpful. If you have any other questions let me know and I'll answer them if I know. I don't get on here much though so it might take me a few days to get back to you. You can search posts for Yazoo city on here, I've posted alot over the past 2 yrs my husband has been there.

Hi Bigsister,
My husband is being transferred to Yazoo camp in a few days. I don't know anything about this place. It is about 12 hours away from where I am. Please tell me about the condition of this place. I read from other sites that this place is awful. I am anxious to know. Please tell me as much as possible about this place. How long before I can come to visit him? Where do you stay when you visit? Thank you so much in advance

My loved one is getting transfered to Yazoo FCI from Mcreary USP. I need some information on Yazoo. Any information will help. I know it will be better going from an USP to and FCI but they put him farther away from Atlanta which is home for us. Any information will be helpful. THANKS. And also looking for riding partners.

Does anyone know how else to obtain a visitor form other then from the inmate? My husband has been at the medium for about 3 weeks now and within an hour was placed in the SHU for refusing his cell (difference of race, i duno but his 'car' told him that sh*t wasnt gona fly....so he refused) Anyhoo no ones been to see or speak with him and I only get 2weeks off work a year and its in September, so this is a bit timely for me. Calling the prison has been NO help....errr

Has anyone heard if the medium is on lockdown? My husband calls me every night, and I haven't heard from him since Sunday night. No phone calls or email.

I was on the phone with my husband about 2 hours ago and they called lock down and he had to get off the phone. He didn't reallly know for sure what it was for and hopes it doesn't last long. If anyone is going over the weekend might want to call and check to make sure.....

Hi to everybody!
Iím new to this site and very happy to have found it. My husband is in Yazoo city low. We are from Miami, FL and they transferred him from here 5 months ago, now Iím planning to go visit him by the second week of November but Iím really worry because I will travel alone with our 18 months old baby. I would like to know what I can bring to the visits and at what time I have to be there to be on time and without any problems. Iím going to stay 3 days from Friday to Sunday, I need to know what are the safeties places where I can eat something and a supermarket where I can buy milk and food for my baby, please any help and recommendation would be really appreciated.
Thanks
