Default Firebrand Is Ankle Monitor Free 1st Time In 10 Years

I actually started crying after my parole officer left about a1/2 hour ago. Had a home visit this morning and unexpectedly she said " I need your box and your ankle monitor when I get there" about 10 minutes before she arrived. She was concerned that it'd be problem removing it without the tool she forgot to bring that the parole division issues them. "No worries...I got it covered" I said. There's not an ankle monitor ever issued by the state that that a serrated edge steak knife won't cut through and take off. And believe you me....I've had lots of practice. I finally got to the point this time around where I was willing to humble myself to finally have it removed the right way where having the EM stipulation removed is concerned. It's the first time in 12 years I've been this free.
And the first person I called to thank for her help in making this possible is a gal named......Cyn Tex Lyn.
Have a good day everyone.

That's awesome. I can't even imagine the emotions that must bring on. Ride the wave and be so, so proud of all you've accomplished. I know I am.

Every time I see this thread I smile. I remember how happy my son was to lose his monitor after 4 months he did a happy dance in the lounge. I can only imagine how happy your happy dance was. Onwards upwards for you.

Oddly enough, that's not the case. I woke up this morning and I started crying and I don't really know what that's all about. Things are as good as that need to be right now but I have a lot of work to do.

I'm active in AA and I have a sponsor. A few days ago we were talking about things in general and he made an observation about me that really took me by surprise. He said you have a martyr complex and that was not a compliment when he said that
It was during a point I was trying to get clarification on about the fact that all twelve steps of the 12 steps have one common attribute or component and that is humility.

Things are as right as they need to be right now but I have miles and miles to go before I sleep.

Great news Fire. Im out on parole now. You and CenTexLynn helped me through my long wait for sentencing and my trip to TDCJ. Thank you both.I have not had a drink since the night before I went to court. 2 years this July. TDCJ helped me get off the booze, and I have stayed off.

Boy I remember that from when my hub got his off.
He had that thing for 5 plus years. His parole agent told him he could cut it off himself. He told him NO WAY. I'll be there in the morning and you can do it.

Congrats Firebrand!
YOU keep plugging away!
