Default My husband's parole meeting is tomorrow.

I'm a nervous wreck. I keep going over things I want to say but I keep stumbling over the words. My mind is racing ugh. I need to stop because I need to get to bed I have to get up at 430 and be on the road by 530. Get there by 8 sign in and wait to be called. Ugh. A few guys who had people there for their meeting today said they were asked one question. How do you plan on helping him get off parole. I know what I want to say so I hope all goes well. Wish us luck. I'll keep everyone posted.

I've said it before....and your short on time, but write it down tonight, reread it in the morning and every chance you get. Too late for rough drafts and editing / editing. You do not have to write it verbatim....make an outline of what you want to say in the order you want to say it on one piece of paper. It will help keep you on track and help remind you of the things you want to say that are most important to you.

You can do this!!! Stay strong

I checked in about twenty minutes ago. The guard said we were sixth in line so about ten o'clock. I'm going to go back in at about 9 Just to be sure. Ugh I was hoping it would be early so I can stop being nervous. But it is what it is.

So we are done and it was horrible. That lady was so mean she had him and I both flustered. She would ask him a question and turn everything he said around on him and tell him he was pretty much lying. Or tell him the she had to pry the answer out of him etc. He answered every question honestly and she made him out to be a liar. Ugh. I was able to get out what I wanted to say (I'm surprised) because at that point I had thrown up in my mouth a little because she was so horrible. But according to my husband everyone said she was mean so idk. Now we wait for an answer. If I were to judge by that meeting and by how she was I'm gonna say it's a no but I have no idea what they will say.

His arus/ counselor told him yesterday that everyone that went for their parole meetings the day my husband had his and the day before for their parole. But he doesn't have any proof that's true until he actually has the papers in his hand I'll believe it. Everyone there is in the same program he's in and so far everyone to date has gotten their parole. I hope it's true. Still waiting though.

So sorry to hear how difficult your meeting was. What types of questions did she ask you? Are they just concerned if you can financially support him or are there other factorS?

All theu asked is if I had anything to add at the end of the meeting. I just said a few things and that was it. At that point I was so freaked out I didn't want to say anything wrong. We are still waiting for hisbpapers bit like I said I'm the previous post his counselor said he made parole but ya never know who to believe in there.

According to my husband who got out back in December, he says when they are mean they usually let you go. If they were going to flop him they would really have nothing to say to him. I will be praying for you guys. Don't give up hope, he will be home.

He was granted parole we found out for sure a few days ago when a parole officer from the correctional facilities in called me to confirm our address and to ask if I was picking him up. She told me what time to check in and that I needed to bring his clothes. It took them a month to get him the paperwork saying he was approved even though we found out a week before that through people at the prison. 100 days today and I finally get to have my husband home yay
