Default Interstate compact timeline/Updated

In process of getting hubby's parole transferred from ky to Ohio. He's currently in halfway house. Ohio has his info and was told they have 45 days to do home visit and approve/deny.

After the home visit, how long does it typically take to get approved?

After approved, how long does it usually take for them to be able to come home?

The PO can take the entire time. Once approved it doesn't take long for the offender to transfer.

In the cases I've dealt with, only a day or two and that includes the travel time.

He was assigned a po Monday the 15th but of course she's on vacation until the 25th. I'm just wondering when she does the home visit when she'll decide it's approved. Idk anything about this process but I would assume after walking thru house she would have an idea if it's acceptable by the time she leaves.

Many POs will tell you their decision at the end of the home inspection visit.

OMG! Today? The PO came out today?? Are you freak'n kidding me!?! DOC Motto: Hurry up and WAIT

According to WA CCO (post #2 above), it shouldn't be more than a couple of days. Finally!!! I don't know how you've kept your sanity

It was crazy. Usually I'm not home til 5/530. It was first day of school and my daughter was suspended from daycare. I had to pick her up from school which made us home early and as we were driving down our street I see PO walking across the street to her car. I pull in and she asked if I was April and got out of her car and did the visit. Never been so happy for my daughter to be suspended lol

She said during visit it was approved. I asked if it would take a week and she said probably less than that. With it being Tuesday evening, I would love for him to be home by the weekend.
