When in doubt call his counselor. He or she. Should be able to direct you.

Either way works.
I got my hub clothes and sent them about a month before he was scheduled to be released. I only sent a shirt and jeans and I think a belt.
wrote dress outs on all sides of the box.
Or you could order from one of the vendors as well.
I just found it a cheaper way to buy myself and send them

I think so, yes.
My hub had shoes and socks from an order I'd sent him, so he said not to bother with those.

I skipped some of the things, like his wedding ring, phone, etc.
I didnt pick him up, my folks did, so i gave them all the stuff I was nervous about sending to the prison. (like wallet with id, money etc....)

My son gets out end of November so we're counting the days now. I bought him clothes to send to him. Included shoes because his are worn there. There's a part of me that wants him to walk out with as little from there as possible....

He said I can send anytime after 60 days.... So I should put Dress Out on the box then? He said to put Parole Clothes on it.... He said it was best to get them there before he hits 30 days

I didn't think of a belt but I did think of a jacket since it'll be the end of November. He doesn't have any clothes there in CA.

My hub also got out in Nov. I think I sent the jacket with my folks.
It ended up being a nice day
You could put Parole Dress Outs on the box. That way it covers both.
Im sure R&R will know what they are.

Congrats to you guys!

I picked up a friend July 17, and had to be there at 8. I would call R&R to confirm. You need your ID, car registration and insurance. They make copies so bring them in with you.

Hi there - if I were in your shoes I would definitely call the facility to have a 100% correct pick-up time for your loved one

I picked up my husband back in October. I was there at the crack of 7am to check in, then they said thanks, come back at 10am to get him. LOL...They want you to check in, I drove out North to the next city and had a starbucks and watched a movie on my phone, then drove back to pick up my boo.

NOTE: It may be different for you, my husband came from South Yard, I do not know how Central does it.

Default lifer parole dress out question

My husband is a lifer at ctf awaiting the governor's review - I need to send dress outs even though he doesn't have an exact date as similar inmates have been kicked a few days to a couple of weeks after the prison is notified of the governor's approval. I have heard it said I can send the dress outs now and just mark the box as lifer parole dress out - governor's review pending. Does anybody know anything about this type of situation?

In addition, as I recall, dress outs do not have to be in packaging nor have tags. 1 shirt, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of boxers/socks/shoes, and 1 belt along with a jacket if needed. Still the same?

I cant answer to the part about if you can send them or not.But to the other part, no the items do not need tags or be new. Not 100% sure on the belt, as I think I was worried it could cause a problem, so we just brought it in the car. Same with the jacket but that was to save on postage.
