Default Husband isn't in General Population as of last night. Ugh

So I went to visit my husband yesterday. We spent 8 hours together it was pretty amazing. He normally calls me to make sure I made it home safely but I fell asleep and when I woke up this morning I realized he didn't call. So I figured he would call me this morning like always and he never did so I called the prison and they said he isn't in Gen Pop....what!!!! Of course they wouldn't tell me why or even where he was. I'm not to worried because I know he wouldn't of gotten into trouble I just don't know why this would happen at 9 pm at night. I'm always going to worry...i just wonder how long it will take before he can call. I guess I will patiently wait for him to call. Ugh

Yes it sure does because this could take up to two weeks until he can call. I hope not though.

Are you on his emergency contact? If it was something serious they would contact you. When I donít hear from my husband I always send a postcard. In my experience they arrive the fastest. Hopefully youíll hear back soon.

Some times they sit in a waiting cell for days then when they get to the new place it takes sometimes 2-3 days to turn the phone on.

Well I'm assuming they are moving him....i don't really know that for sure. What I do know is that sometimes when they are getting ready to come home and they still have programming to do they move them where they can get that stuff done. But they very rarely ever move them on a Sunday or take them out of their unit. That's why I'm worried a bit.

I have not even heard one peep yet...now I'm worried even more. I suppose it will get worse as the days go by. I keep checking the internet knowing they only update it once in the morning. Just hoping it will say something different but nope. Ugh. I hope I hear from him soon.

You can use an app called VineLink. It will notify you of any moves and releases of your loved ones!

I found out about this app while working as a child welfare case manager some of our children had incarcerated parents that we still had to make contact with and this would keep us posted on moves, and releases! Its a free app! Hope this helps you....

I have it for my guy and was notified through text that he moved! And it will tell you where as well...

I can and I have but he won't get them until he's transferred. The thing I hate most is the not knowing. You would think they would let them make a phone call or something. It's horrible. I hope I hear from him tomorrow. Or at the latest on Friday because I would hate to have him sit there all weekend. Ugh

Oh no! Hope he calls soon. I hate waiting for a call, even when I know things are fine, it just seems to make things more annoying than it needs to be.

I don't think in this situation it is not a matter of they do not care for the prisoners but a more of why would they contact your for a transfer?

I would hate to see you do time with a California inmate because many times it is a couple of months before they can get to the phone. if it is reception, it can be up to a year waiting to get transferred to the prions they are going to do their time in.

I will never do this again so I'm not even going to worry about that. Lol. My husband is my life and not hearing from him for even one day hurts my heart. Just saying. Plus I would never live in California
