Default One down, four more to go!

I have returned to college, and just finished up year two at a community college. Only a few credits left that I have to earn, then I'll have my associates of science. Then on to my bachelors, then masters and then doctorate! However, that's only four and I mentioned "one down"....

In disclosing my case history with a local school district, they allowed me to take their adult high school courses. So on May 18th of this year I finally graduated from high school! And my high school GPA is 2.82. This last semester in college my GPA was 3.09.

Slowly but surely, I'm on my way!

Congratulations!!

I won't presume to know your age, but I went back to school in my 30's (I loved being able to claim non-trad student status) and it was the best thing I ever did. Earned my AA and BA. I would love to continue, but life had other plans.

Keep up the hard work!

Congrats. That's awesome! The community college let you take classes for two years without having your high school diploma? Were you in high school when you started taking college courses?

Miamac, I'm 47.
Andy, not exactly. When I was in my teens I was prevented from attending high school. I only got two semesters when I was there. I had no alternative (back then) but to get a GED. I was able to document this issue to the local school district and they accepted my request. A lot had changed in 30 years, Andy.
